So yesterday was painting class and the start of a new model and pose. We will be working on this painting for three classes. Today we worked on composition and getting the darks/lights shapes on the canvas and trying to get the canvas covered with the first layer of paint. I guess I worked about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get to this stage, still have a long way to go. The suit is much darker in reality, so I will have to deal with that next session. Not sure about my composition, placing subject so far off center, I'll have to work on my background to make it interesting too...we'll see next week.
