Self Portrait...rainy day and wednesday...

So, on a gloomy rainy day, a "gloomy" self portrait.
Actually, I am very pleased how this turned out, dramatic lighting, kind of old master type color. And a small format, only a 6" x 6" panel.  Self portraits are always a challenge, maybe because we really have to take a look at ourselves for the time it takes to make the painting...always makes me ponder, do I really look like that? And yes, it does look like me!!!
